John Butcher vinyl series

The John Butcher vinyl series is an ongoing collection of recordings of the influential British saxophonist playing in various formations and contexts.

The first set of 5 LP was recorded live in Berlin and Leipzig, and features Butcher with musicians with whom he has played extensively in the past, such as Burkhard Beins, Werner Dafeldecker, Thomas Lehn, Gino Robair, Sophie Agnel, Tony Buck and Magda Mayas. Besides, Butcher can be heard engaging with younger performers from the German “Echtzeitmusik” scene, such as Liz Allbee, Ignaz Schick and Marta Zapparoli.
